Buying a Dildo

Suitable for anal or vaginal penetration, a dildo is a sex toy that can be enjoyed by both men and women. Enjoy a realistic dildo for an authentic masturbation experience, or a suction cup dildo for hands free pleasure. Try a large dildo for extra fulfilment or a vibrating dildo for double the excitement. For something a little different, take a look at a temperature responsive glass dildo. You may also want to browse our range of vibrators. As an authorised retailer for the world's best sex toy brands and with the largest range of dildos we are sure you will find your perfect dildo.

What is the difference between a Dildo and a Vibrator?

When choosing the perfect bedroom partner, researching a huge collection of sex toys can be a daunting task. With so many different sex toys to choose from, each sporting a number of different features, finding the right product for you is no easy feat. One of the questions we are asked a lot at AmazingO, is the difference between a dildo and vibrator. Knowing the difference between these two products, will take you one step closer to finding the perfect sex toy.

The main difference between a vibrator and dildo is quite obviously, vibration. A vibrator uses a series of pulsations and vibration to help the user achieve orgasm. A dildo simply uses a series of stimulating textures, and the carefully designed shape of the product to bring pleasure. Because a vibrator is usually more effective at achieving fast gratification, it is seen as the ‘go to’ sex toy. However, for those who prefer a gentler build up to orgasm, a dildo is the perfect solution.

One example of a way in which the shape and texture of a dildo can be used to achieve orgasm would be to add a helping of lubricant and to graze the textured dildo across the clitoris to gently stimulate. By switching between clitoral and G Spot stimulation, a dildo is super-effective. This method of stimulation works well after climax, when the clitoris is still quite sensitive, but you still want to continue the fun.

Because a dildo is a gentler path to orgasm, it gives the user more control over their climax than they have with intense vibration. For example, the powerful sensations of a vibrator create an involuntary bodily reaction because they are so powerful. However, the sensations created from a dildo are softer, and lead to a slower build up to climax. This doesn’t mean the climax is less powerful, but you do have more control over the sensation.

A big difference between a dildo and vibrator is the shape of the product. A dildo is a phallic (penis shaped) shaped sex toy, whilst a vibrator comes in a variety of different shapes. Quite often, a vibrator has a clitoral stimulator attached to the vibrator to titillate the clitoris whilst simultaneously massaging the G Spot. The materials used for each product usually differ too, a vibrator has a much firmer feel because the plastic or silicone covers and protects the mechanism inside. A dildo comes in a range of different textures, and can be made from glass, real skin material, medical grade silicone and even wood.

In its truest form, a dildo doesn’t vibrate. However, at AmazingO we do stock a selection of vibrating dildos. This might seem a little contradictory, but we believe that a vibrating dildo really does give the user the best of both worlds. For example, use the textured shaft for raised stimulation and better control over the build up to orgasm. But when you want to up the ante a little, turn on the vibration and let the powerful pulsations bring you to climax.

Afterwards, build up slowly again by using the soft textures to gently stimulate the clitoris and start all over again. It’s perfect for perfecting the elusive multiple orgasm technique.
